OUGD503 - Studio Brief 01 - Book Cover Final Design

The Final print was a two colour screen print onto the book cloth. The type was printed in a cream colour to match the sleeve and the shadow was printed in a deep red, another colour that is popularly seen on canal boats. It took a couple of attempts to get a good print as the ink bled on the first attempt, but it printed well onto the material. The half sleeve was then printed with all the necessary information that was required from the Stratford Festival onto a cream stock that matched the typographic title.

Once the book had been printed it was bound and photographed before being submitted by email to the Stratford Literary. I was fortunate enough to be shortlisted in the top four designs.
