OUGD603 - Personal Outcomes

This year, I would like to take advantage of all of the workshops and resources available to me whilst I am still studying, as I may not have the opportunity to once I graduate. Last year I experimented with ceramics in my spare time, which is an interest of mine. I will incorporate this into my extended practice. I will also bring my photography and interest of typography into work as well. I will explore and be more experimental with these materials and resources and push boundaries.

My work has always been based around editorial design, however my skills in internal layout need improvements and is an area that will be focused on this year. I focus on environmentally aware design, so I will incorporate this as much as I can in future projects as well. There are many brands who's packaging can be improved.

I would like to increase the rate of freelance work and create exposure online through work and gain more clients. I will improve on logo design, symbol and logotype, and work on projects that will further this skill base.

I am still keen to make my way into the film industry, and will increase knowledge and grow a network within it. I will also focus on growing an international network as well as my existing network. I am keen to use this network to gain placements at places such as Pinewood, Super Friends, Pentagram and Design by Atlas.

Of the work I completed in the last two years, I would like to revisit and improve a few projects. I would like to work on and improve the Stub application, that had popular attention on Behance. I would also like to improve the Trinity way finding and typeface from first year so I can add them to my portfolio. I would also like to turn the Have Your Say campaign into an existing project as it was something I felt strongly for in second year.

Overall I will be more experimental and not limit my practice. I will push the boundaries and explore as many options as I can.
