Help Link also works for the local community where they were founded. They take part in regional projects such as holding the “Worlds Largest Math’s Lesson” in 2014 as well as giving away 115 full rugby kits to junior teams across the country. They also renovated Harrogate Homeless Project’s accommodation, funding over £200,000.
The Help Link logo is simple and follows many gas, boiler and energy provider logo trends; simple text with a small symbol design. Often this design depicts a gas flame, which is generically blue. This type of logo works well and looks polished. It is simple but still effective and makes the company look professional.
Companies often go through a rebrand in order to keep their businesses up to date. They often change their logos and follow trends to make sure that they continue to stay current. However sometimes a rebrand doesn’t always go to plan. There are many famous rebrands that went terribly wrong and here is an example of a few.
Firstly, possibly the most famous of rebranding disasters is GAP. A well-known clothes store changed its logo and dew to such high demand, reverted back to its old logo within days of changing to the new one. You can see why as the logo they tried to change to is not as effective or professional as the original.
Tropicana is another well-known rebrand disaster. A well known, trusted and popular brand of juice, Tropicana tried to follow the more modern, simplistic and stylish kind of branding that just seemed to disappoint customers. And after sales dropped dramatically they decided to go back to the original design.
There has however been some very successful rebrands that have almost improved the companies and helped with sales and recognition. For example the Apple logo has not always simply been a single coloured apple. Originally it was an illustration of Isaac Newton sitting under a tree. It has however developed following trends and simplified to a much more current flat design. Windows, Apple’s rival technology company has also followed the trends and kept it’s company up to date by using the simplistic flat designs.
