The comments I received were: "pictograms follow a theme", 'possibly try slight variations, adding more lines, making them more legible", "very nice and artistic pictograms". These comments are all positive as I am being successful in what I want to do, create stylistic pictograms, but the crit group have helped me identify where I need to make my pictograms more recognisable.

OUGD405 - Way Finding Feedback
In this critique group I wanted to ask the question: "are my pictograms clear?" The pictograms in the Trinity shopping centre didn't suit the centre as the design is clinical and reminded me of air port pictograms. So the first task I wanted to complete in redesigning the way finding system is to redesign the pictograms.
After asking my feedback group if they represented their subject well I received mostly positive feedback, but also some incredibly helpful feedback on how to improve my pictograms. The pictograms I needed to improve most were the disabled toilet pictogram, the cash point pictogram and the lift and escalator pictogram. My crit group found that they had to think about what they were which is not what a pictogram is intended to do. It is meant to be recognisable instantly. They also recommended I increase the stroke weight so that they are clearly visibly from a distance.
