OUGD406 - Studio Brief 02 - Development and Feedback

Once I had produced a few initial ideas, I used the material I had produced with my spirograph and included them in my initial ideas. This allowed me to develop my ideas a little further before I asked for feedback to determine which will be a more successful design.

Many of my designs are trying to take advantage of the clear stock that I am using. Creating a window with my design will make my bank note more engaging. Many people liked my ideas but felt that the designs which had a heavy use of pattern was too overwhelming. People liked the idea of stacking the bank notes together in order to create a design but said that when the notes were separate, the note wouldn't be as engaging individually. Most of my designs are lacking in colour and people have said that it needs this. I am going to include the New Zealand colours which will be block colours. Using fewer colours will allow my design to be easily screen printed onto the acetate.
