These are two final logos were designed by Ed. They are interchangeable and designed to be used in posters as well as small icons in the invitation and the publication that have been designed. The tutors felt that this logo was strong and loved the stacking concept that Ed had introduced. The only thing they didn't like was the name "Get Rich" as they felt it was giving the wrong tone of voice. Before we pitch the idea to our sponsors, my group will think of a new name for the exhibition.
This is the way finding that was designed by Ed. this way finding system originated from the logo and is applicable easily onto a wall. The tutors liked this idea and liked how it used the logo to continue throughout the theme.
These posters were designed by Ed and keep the blue theme and use the larger logo. The simplistic design paired with the bright blue colours are eye catching. The tutors liked these posters but to begin with they were coloured with a variety of colours. The tutors felt we should stick to using the blue colour, otherwise the theme would be lost.
This is the envelope that will hold the invitations. Designed by Thea, it is based on a payslip envelope you would receive through the post from the bank. The idea is to have perforated edges that can be torn to open the envelope, like you would if you received a private and confidential payslip. We are sure that this would grab the guests attention, as you wouldn't ignore an important letter that has been formatted in this way.
This is the cheque invite that comes in the envelope that I have designed. The tutors really liked this style of invitation and thought it was really engaging. Originally it was a different tone of blue, but to ensure all of the work is cohesive, I changed it to a blue that we have all worked with. The tutors recommended we all stick to a blue colour palate to make sure the body of work is harmonious.
This feedback sheet is based on an invoice sheet and will be easy to fill in by the visitors. I have designed this sheet to be a part of a pad. Visitors can easily tear one off and fill it in. We hope to use a receipt spike in the exhibition area, where the visitors can stick their feedback sheets.
This is a list of professional studios that Bethan has pulled together. We intend on inviting all of these studios and professionals to see our work. It will be good to get as many professionals to see our work to create any opportunities for the future. It will be beneficial to network with professional designers to secure potential work placements.
These are social media pages created by Alec. He has used the work we have produced to promote the exhibition. Social media is the easiest way to communicate to people which is why we have chosen to set these pages up. We also thought of the idea to ask everyone who designed an exhibition piece to tweet a description for their work that has to keep to the 140 characters and will be displayed next to their work.
As well as a list of studios we are going to invite, Bethan created a list of local breweries we are going to invite to serve their ales at the opening night. Beer is always a crowd pleaser, and a good way to draw an audience in.
This is the publication that Erin has designed. It will help guide people around the show space as well as holds any additional information. It will be a pack of leaflets and the small publication that the viewers can flick through and will hold information about all the students that have taken part. We hope to design it in such a way that people will want to keep the booklet.
Here are a few mock ups of how we would use the space, created by Bethan. We have used the stock market graph design to make the space a little more engaging. We plan to use vinyl to create this effect, which will be easy and affordable. This simple design will stop the space from looking dull and draw in the viewers attention.
The tutors really liked our idea and we have been chosen as one of the groups to pitch our concept to the sponsors. They felt that it was professional and one of the strongest concepts. They wanted us to change the name however as it holds the wrong tone of voice. They also would like to see some physical mock ups in time for the pitch to the sponsors. My group are going to develop our concept even further and to a high standard before we pitch. Some of the tutors felt that our wall space designs would distract from the work and look too similar to a mountain range so we may scrap that idea all together.
