OUGD503 - Studio Brief 01 - Go Higher Logo Design

This brief is to design a logo or symbol and choose an appropriate type face for use in a variety of media and applications. The submission must be done before 9 am on Friday 18 November. The new logo needs to be functional online, in print and on other collateral pieces such as exhibition boards, social media, advertisements and merchandise.



HEART's main focus is to progress students from all backgrounds into higher education. Taking this keyword: 'progress', into consideration, a few ideas have been sketched to determine an initial experimentation of developments. Symbolism from 'progress' has been used to create symbols and logotype.

The concept of a rising graph to demonstrate 'progression' has been used in both instances, this symbol connotes the idea of success, moving forward and working toward something making it an appropriate concept to experiment with.
