OUGD504 - Studio Brief 02 - Potential Problems

This brief is to create an experience through a digital user interface. There are many interfaces out there that create experience and the most successful are used to solve problems. The majority of people now have a hand held device an often the go to solution would be an app, however, app's should only really be created if their function cannot be used in any other software.

I have gathered a series of problems that could be potentially solved using a user interface experience:

The first, a photo sharing concept. If you are to attend an event you will only see your side of the experience through photos you or your friends have taken, and more often than not, a photo of yourself will have been taken without you noticing. It would give going to events, gigs or just nights out a whole other meaning seeing every single photo taken by everyone who went to the same event as you. However you cannot see these photos as you can't share with the person who took them because you don't know them.

Secondly, there are many apps for buying tickets to events or notify you about events, including Facebook. However, there are so many that it can get confusing, and commonly, you have to know what you're looking for to find tickets to buy. Sometimes tickets will sell out before you've even heard about the event you want to go to. It would be easier if all your favourite event's were in one place and you were notified when tickets are on release.

Lastly, as students, we don't always have the funds to buy high fashion items. There needs to be an easier way of finding places that will sell what you're looking for cheaper or a cheaper alternative by the same or similar brand.
