This simplified black and white interface is keeping with application trends with a navigation bar along the bottom of the screen which is easy to function. This will make the experience both enjoyable and will fit the collection of other applications that the user will have. The search button is in the corner making it easily accessible when in the users hand, making its use comfortable. The interface has been stripped back of colour so that the experience is the same on a variety of screens.
The artist and genre functions have been merged into one section and now displays all categories including artist, genre, and renowned figures. The symbol now reflects two figures which represents the suggested events. The original suggestion of three figures would have made the button too small for the user to clearly see what it represents. All the button symbols are filled when it is on each page so it is clear which page the user is on.
The images used within the application have been taken from online sources (links to all the original locations have been documented below). Images used within the application will be submitted by events holders. The images used have been darkened and muted to prevent the page from being too busy. The slight, muted effect is pleasing to the eye and aesthetically pleasing for the user. The images are resized depending on the button use for the image. When an image is pressed, it highlights with a slight red tone which keeps the red branding throughout the whole interface. When viewing a ticket the image is large and all the necessary information laid out clearly below. There are three buttons which allow the user to preview artists, notify them when tickets go on release or share that they are attending on Facebook. The buttons have used the orange from the colour palette to make the experience more interesting.
The application will be free for users and will hold a variety of low priced tickets which will be possible by charging events holders a small fee for each ticket sale. From this the application can make a profit and expand. When a ticket is purchased, it can be viewed in the ticket section which will be accessible offline, making it stress free when the user wishes to open the ticket in an area with no signal or if the user has run out of mobile data. The ticket has a basic, stripped back design which suits the interface and is easily scanned at the door by bouncers. The main body includes a QR code and the necessary information for the user and people at the gates of events. The users tickets disappear when they expire, which will be after last entry.
Signing up to the application is easy to follow with a step by step guide. It gives the user the option of signing in with email and Facebook. Signing up with Facebook allows the application to sync with Facebook, using data such as likes to suggest events to the user, and syncs with Facebook events so they can be shared with friends. Following this, it asks for the necessary application permissions. It asks the user to add extra locations which prevents the user from being limited to just viewing events in the location they're currently in. It lets the user choose to sync with music on their device, their Spotify account and Instagram which helps the application gather more data to make more suggestions. The final stage is setting up a payment method with card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
Once an account is made, the application has an easy, accessible log in, with the choice of email and Facebook. The log in and sign up pages use the red and grey colour theme that is used within the icon first established. This design differs from the stripped back, white interface because it gives the application an identity. The red type is clear to read on the silver background and the sign up stage uses no more than three colours to prevent the page from becoming too busy and difficult for the user to navigate.
