The platform was to be a printed format, but still different to NEST. I was working on limited to no budget so the print finish had to be affordable.
A poster print would be the most effective platform, being both a free poster and a newsletter. This would be attractive for university students and get student artists involved.
A name for the publication was brainstormed with various names relating to it being a press platform and relating it to art students. The names were pitched to a feedback group who all like 'Pressed.' because of its link to a printing press and being press material.
The grid design compliments the artwork on the front of the posterzine, using grid layout rules research into editorial design, a grid that will be used in every issue, works with a grid layout that works with the illustration.
The content draft was pitched to the Union and they had feedback for it:
The asked to keep the content to a societies update, a bio about the artist and any student held exhibitions that want to be advertised.
They were keen to have a creative section with a crossword or horoscopes
