My final mock up design is a gate folded leaflet that will be enclosed in an envelope, shaped like a high visibility jacket. This envelope will be printed onto a yellow stock. The envelope will contain a leaflet, which will be printed on a thick green stock. I will print it in a monotone black, as the stock will be the colour. This leaflet will be interactive and teach the target audience, children, what to do when it gets dark when out on their bikes.
After showing some of my peers a final mock up of my design I asked for some feedback on what works and what could make it better. Initially I was told some imagery would improve it as it's aimed at children and imagery would make it more engaging. Pictograms would suit my style of design so I will include some simple imagery that matches the text inside the leaflet so that the younger audience will engage with it more. Another aspect that would make it a little more engaging and prevent my design from looking plain is including a watermark inside the jacket envelope to make it interesting. This could be any words from the song of the original video that I have already included in my design.
To make the actual leaflet more substantial and less delicate, so that it will survive going through the post, I was recommended to join the shoulders of the jacket envelope just to make it more solid, and instead of using a card clasp I could use a small vinyl sticker instead. I am going to stick the leaflet inside the jacket, just to prevent it from falling out in the post, and the information on the back I will use the vinyl to stick on the back of the jacket envelope. The vinyl is a material that I will use to wrap around the envelope to make it look more like a high visibility jacket.
