OUGD406 - Studio Brief 01 - Secret 7"

I experimented with photography to begin with for my album covers. With inspiration from my research I experimented with the light and colour levels to manipulate each picture and make them visually interesting. I produced a number of different experiments in order to create a variety of designs. The first design is of a skin creme pot. The pot is blue and the cream keeps your skin clear, the decision behind this design of cover. This idea was one most favoured when I critiqued my initial designs.

The next idea favoured in the crit group developed into a hand holding a blue phone up against a blue t shirt. With this photo I used a variety of colour effects to produce engaging designs.

For a different song I decided to experiment with line drawings and illustrations. I used a variety of styles of line drawing including contour and blind drawings. With these drawings I experimented with use of colour and composition. I used colours and elements from the music video.
