The initial wire framing concept was positively received. Many people felt that it achieved the intent to create an experience for the user that was hassle free, simple and personalised to them. A few suggestions were made on ways to improve the concept.
People felt that a parent lock would be a positive feature as it will prevent underage users buying tickets for 18+ events.
One person felt that including a preview of the artist that the user is buying tickets for seemed slightly pointless as if the application is choosing to suggest events by artists that the user already enjoys they will already know who they are. However one person felt that the preview function would be successful to get an idea of supporting acts or if the application has suggested a new artist.
Many people felt that having a key to indicate the number of tickets sold to give an idea of the number of people attending an event would be a positive feature however to avoid it influencing the users choice of purchase the feature could disappear as the event drew nearer.
Other people felt that a colour indication to demonstrate the availability of the tickets would work. Not only would it engage the user, but a simple red, yellow and green colour indicator is widely recognised and would indicate clearly the availability to encourage the user to purchase tickets.
Many people felt that using this platform as an advertising platform as well for the events would positively affect the events holders as most people agreed they would be more interested in going to an event if the application notified them about it. With the initial wire framing design positively received it has been finalised into a digital format. To aid the design process, a grid layout has been created while the wire framing was finalised to bring together the design and make it cohesive.
