These patterns were fantastic and we considered how we could use these patterns in a final design. After brainstorming a range of ideas, as a group we decided we enjoyed the concept of placing each pattern in puzzle pieces. This represents the customer piecing together their personalised chocolate bars. From this we produced another range of ideas as to how the puzzle pieces could work into the sleeve design.

OUGD503 - Studio Brief 02 - Patterns Development
Taking advantage of our illustrators, Jenny and Emily decided it would be a good idea to create patterns inspired by the ingredients that would be on offer for the personalised chocolate. From this both of them produced a range of patterns using their colourful and bold style.

Emily and Jenny both experimented with their patterns in the puzzle pieces. Using my knowledge of Photoshop I then place each pattern into a range of individual puzzle pieces that could be easily developed into a final design. It took a long time to produce each on and it was a long and repetitive task, however the patterns look great in each puzzle piece.
